Steven Berger, PhD

Dr. Berger is a licensed clinical psychologist with 20 years’ experience in assessment, evaluation, and consultation. He earned both a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Master of Fine Arts in Theater from Missouri State University. Graduate education includes a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology from St. Louis University and a Master of Arts and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Post-doctoral training was completed at Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Berger has served as a faculty member, authored a variety of publications in peer review journals, and has presented at regional and national conferences in neuropsychological assessment. After working in academia and research he transitioned into private practice where he has conducted 1000’s of assessments including neuropsychological, fitness for duty (pilots), preemployment, forensic, and Psycho Educational evaluations. He has worked for a variety of agencies including Disability Adjudication Services, Division of Family and Children’s Services. Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, Division of Juvenile Justice, and the Georgia Advocacy Office. Dr. Berger is regarded in the community for creating a standard of excellence in psychological evaluations and regularly receives referrals from school districts throughout Georgia, attorneys, physicians, academic consultants, and other sources.
